Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat

Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat

This Hiawatha boat was built nearly a century after its namesake got caught in ice in its mooring back in 1914.  It unfortunately got crushed and carried away in a flood.

This newer version was built to honor the original one and to allow passengers to celebrate the rich heritage of the Susquehanna River by cruising it much like the original steam-driven stern-wheeler.

It’s docked at the beautiful Susquehanna State Park where you can also find restrooms, free parking, a public boat launch, picnic area, refreshments and a souvenir shop.   The cruise season runs May through October and there are numerous types of cruises to take where you can enjoy brunch, wings, music or dinner.
